Data practices

No forms, no trackers, no selling of your information. Here is exactly what we handle and why.

Who we are

This website belongs to Master Overhead Doors, a garage door company with a head office at 49172 Stillwater St, Indio, CA 92201, and a service office at 4443 Murphy Canyon Rd Ste 100, San Diego, CA 92123. This page explains what information we handle when you visit the site or call us, and what we do with it.

What this website collects

The site has no forms, no accounts and no advertising or analytics trackers. Like any website, our hosting server records basic technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which are used to keep the site running and secure.

Two outside services load only to display the site: Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, and Google Maps loads only when you press a View the map button. When either loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy.

What we collect when you call

When you call, we collect what you tell us so we can do the job: your name, phone number, service address, a description of the door or gate, and scheduling details. Our phone system logs the number and time of the call. Calls may be recorded for quality and training where the law allows, and you will be told at the start of the call if it is.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your call, schedule and perform the work, prepare quotes and invoices, follow up about the job and keep records the law requires. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

When a call is forwarded

On the rare occasion that every one of our trucks is committed, a call may be forwarded to another trusted local door company so you are not left waiting. In that case, the details you give on the call are shared with that company so it can help you, and its own privacy practices apply to the work it does.

Sharing

Beyond a forwarded call, we share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as phone, payment and accounting providers, and only as needed for those purposes, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep job records for as long as needed to serve you, honor any service commitments and meet tax and legal record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

Your choices and California rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under California privacy law, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, call us and we will verify your identity before acting on it.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
